About Pimax Portal
Pimax Portal View consists of a main unit and a pair of controllers which can be used as a traditional handheld games console, but can also be mounted into VR housings that allow for the device to be used as a standalone virtual reality headset.
While being used as a conventional handheld, the device can be used with the controllers mounted to the device, or with the controllers held freely in each hand.
While used in virtual reality mode, the main unit’s integrated cameras are used to track the position of both itself and the controllers, which each mount into a VR controller housing to provide tracking markers, an ergonomic grip profile, and triggers for the user’s middle and index fingers.
