About PALIT GeForce RTX 4060 StormX GPU
The Palit GeForce RTX 4060 Dual is a sizeable card, yet will fit in most PC cases, even in an ITX build such as the one we were using. As per Nvidia’s requirements, you only have to fit a single standard 8-pin power connector, so you could easily drive this card with a PSU as low as 600W.
The GPU features an all-plastic shroud, with two large fans to move air through the heatsink below and expel it from the back. The fans are mostly stopped when the card is idle up to temperatures of around 38C, after which they spin up quickly yet quietly to keep things cool. Under heavy load, we registered the GPU temps reaching around 68C, which shows Palit have done a good job of thermals, considering it being a lower-end GPU in their lineup (the ambient temps being 23C).
